Membership

General
 
Membership of the Club shall be open to any person acceptable to the Club.
 
Any person who desires to be admitted as a member of the Club shall apply in writing to the Secretary in the form prescribed by the Committee.
 
There are classes of membership in the Club:
 
1. Honorary Life Members;
2. Honorary Members;
3. Active Members;
4. Associate Members; and
5. Junior Members.
 
Honorary Life Members
 
The Committee may if it thinks fit recommend that any member, other than a Junior Member, be elected an Honorary Life Member of the Club.
 
Not more than one member in anyone year may be elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Club to Honorary Life Membership, provided that in the opinion of the Committee such a member has rendered distinguished service to the Club.
 
Honorary Members
 
The Committee may elect any person as an Honorary Member of the Club for such a period not exceeding one month as it may determine. Any person elected as an Honorary Member shall be bound by the Constitution of the Club for the time being but shall not be entitled to attend and vote any Annual Meeting of the Club nor shall be entitled to receive any notices from the Club nor shall such person be eligible for election to the Committee.
 
Active Members
 
Any person eighteen (18) years of age or over who is an active gymnast or training to be a gymnast, or who holds a position as a judge or official as recognised by the A.C.T. Gymnastic Association shall be eligible as an Active Member of the Club.
 
An active member shall be entitled; to receive all notices concerning membership from the Club, attend and vote at any general meeting of the Club, and be eligible for election to the Committee.
 
Associate Members
 
Any person eighteen (18) years of age or over who; is not an active gymnast, or does not hold a position as a judge or official as recognised by Gymnastics ACT; or is a parent or guardian of a Junior Member, shall be eligible as an Associate Member of the Club.
 
An Associate Member shall be entitled; to receive all notices concerning membership of the Club, attend and vote at any general meeting of the Club, and be eligible for election to the Committee.
 
Junior Members
 
The Committee may admit as a Junior Member of the Club any person under the age of eighteen (18) years of age who is an active gymnast within the Club.
 
Any person admitted as a Junior Member shall be bound by the Constitution of the Club for the time being but shall not be entitled to attend and vote at any meeting of the Club nor shall he be entitled to receive any notices from the Club nor shall such a person be eligible for election to the Committee.
