We are your early childhood gymnastics professionals! We have genuine satisfaction in watching children learn. Seeing the wonder in their faces as they develop a belief in themselves, trust in us and attempt new challenges is thrilling. Building your child's confidence and self-esteem through a fitness-geared program is of high priority to us. Realising that this may be your child's first exposure to school we make a consistent attempt to have it be a positive experience. By keeping the gymnast/coach ratio low, effective instruction and care for each child is ensured. Our program includes lessons on all gymnastic apparatus modified to the special needs of the younger child.
Gross motor coordination is developed through the use of balance beams, mini trampolines, bars, rings, tunnels, spring boards and tumbling mats just to name a few items. Cooperative group activities are included in our curriculum. Additionally, activities which involve partners provide the students with an awareness of others. These games also help the young student to learn how to share, take turns and develop concentration skills. Hand eye coordination is developed by attempting bean bag tosses, hoops to spin and catch, balls to throw, catch and roll. The list goes on and on.
One of our most challenging objectives is to help your child learn how to behave in a controlled atmosphere (following directions, waiting their turn and paying attention) . We know that careful management of children's behaviour is as important to each of you as is it to us and is vital for effective learning. We have created structured, progressive and unique lesson plans for your child to experience. Safety consciousness is a top priority of every staff member. When children learn, all of us experience a sense of achievement.
Gymstart classes are suitable for children aged between 3 and 5 years of age.
